How do I know if my child needs speech-language therapy?
It's all about noticing how they communicate. If your little one has trouble saying words clearly, forming sentences, understanding and expressing themselves, or if they easily become frustrated when attempting to express their wants, needs, ideas, etc., these could be signs. If you notice that their speech and language skills are not catching up with other kids their age, it's a clue that speech-language therapy could be helpful. Keep an ear out for things like stuttering, voice issues, or delays in language development.
